• July 24, 2020: On July 24, 2020, British rapper Wiley (Richard Cowie) posted an extended series of his own antisemitic tweets over roughly 12 hours — including 'Jewish people you make me sick and I will not budge hold this corn' and a comparison of Jewish people to the KKK ('2 sets of people who nobody has really wanted to challenge #Jewish & #KKK') — after which Twitter permanently suspended his account (initial 12-hour suspension July 24, permanent ban by July 29, 2020), his manager and label dropped him, and the UK Honours Forfeiture Committee formally stripped him of his MBE in February 2024 for 'bringing the honours system into disrepute.' Context and response

Wiley claimed 'I'm not anti-semetic [sic] I'm anti slippery people' and framed the remarks as drawn from personal business experience; he did not apologize or retract during the episode and kept posting for hours before Twitter intervened.

Where Galil stands

Our opinion: We don't serve up warmth to someone who told Jewish people 'you make me sick' and put them in the same breath as the KKK — that's not a business relationship we want.
