• June 2, 2024: On June 2, 2024, actor Steve Coogan was among 100+ UK cultural figures who co-signed an open letter to then-Labour leader Keir Starmer urging him to commit to ending UK arms sales to Israel over alleged war crimes in Gaza, ahead of the July 2024 UK general election. Our opinion: We don't stand with public calls for an Israel arms embargo that go out of their way to condemn one side while staying completely silent on Hamas's October 7 atrocities and the hostages still held in Gaza.
