February 6, 1996: After publicly apologizing in June 1995 and promising to remove the lyrics "Jew me, sue me... kick me, kike me" from "They Don't Care About Us" (HIStory, 1995), Michael Jackson released the official music video with the slurs reinstated, prompting ADL National Director Abraham Foxman to write to him on February 6, 1996 that the release "reinforces intolerance."
