• August 2024 — Wrote on X of Leo Frank — the wrongly-convicted, posthumously-pardoned Jewish victim of a 1915 lynching — “Leo Frank raped & murdered a 13-year-old girl. He also tried to frame a Black man for his crime,” a claim the ADL identified as a neo-Nazi talking point. [NBC News] [JTA]

The context

Wilson was appointed a Pentagon deputy press secretary in January 2025 and press secretary in May 2025. She has not retracted the posts and has defended them.

Our opinion: A sitting Pentagon spokesperson recycled the exact libel that neo-Nazis built around Leo Frank’s murder. We don’t stand with her.
