• February 3, 2016: In a February 3, 2016 lecture at Vassar College, Rutgers University professor Jasbir Puar charged the IDF with "organ harvesting, deliberate maiming, and stunting of 'Palestinian bodies,'" a claim she echoed in her 2017 Duke University Press book "The Right to Maim"; scholars Mark Yudof and Kenneth Waltzer, along with Tablet, Algemeiner and JNS, said the claim revives the antisemitic medieval "blood libel" trope. Context and response

Puar stated (per Jewish Press, March 21, 2016, as reported by The Princeton Tory) that she was "not making any empirical claims about current organ mining. Rather, I was conveying a small part of the sheer terror of life in the West Bank."
