• December 12, 2023: On December 12, 2023, Polish Sejm MP Grzegorz Braun used a fire extinguisher to snuff out a lit Hanukkah menorah during an official Sejm Hanukkah ceremony attended by Jewish community leaders and Israel's ambassador, then declared that Hanukkah observance had no place in the Sejm because it belonged to a "racist, tribal, wild Talmudic cult." There can be no place for the acts of this racist, tribal, wild Talmudic cult on the premises of the Sejm. Source 1 Source 2

Our opinion: We don't stand with public officials who put out Hanukkah candles with a fire extinguisher and brand Jewish tradition a "Talmudic cult."
